Winery features wine and rillettes tasting


Indulge in savory rillettes (pronounced "ree-yett"), a rustic pâté made from pork, and local wines at La Honda Winery in Redwood City on Saturday, Jan. 16.

The winery, at 2645 Fair Oaks Ave., is hosting a wine and rillettes tasting from noon to 4 p.m. Cost is $10 for the rillettes and five wines, including:

• 2014 Sauvignon Blanc (Atherton, Woodside)

• 2013 Pinot Noir (La Honda, Portola Valley)

• 2013 Red Blend (Saratoga, Los Altos Hills, La Honda)

• 2013 Zinfandel (Paso Robles)

• 2013 Lonehawk (Saratoga)
