December food and drink events on the Midpeninsula

From a fancy gingerbread house-making workshop to a farmers market at Facebook, check out these upcoming food and drink events around the Peninsula.

Facebook farmers market

Head to Facebook's Menlo Park campus at 1 Hacker Way for the company's last farmers market of 2015 this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The final market of the year will go all out with a holiday boutique, live music, food trucks, snow zone and more. Facebook launched the new market in October in conjunction with West Coast Farmers' Markets and the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce. The weekly market runs year-round on Sundays. Gingerbread house workshop at The Village Pub

Got kids? It's never too early to introduce them to Michelin-starred dining. This Saturday, The Village Pub in Woodside offers a gingerbread house-making workshop from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Like the restaurant itself, the class isn't cheap — $85 per ticket — but it includes instruction, a gingerbread house, a snack and a "special gift. For more information and to buy tickets, go to thevillagepub.net.
