Community Notebook: City to hold tree lighting ceremony Dec. 4

Palo Alto event will feature live music, food and more

Residents will be able to ring in the Christmas season at the 5th annual City of Palo Alto Tree Lighting Ceremony at Lytton Plaza on Friday, Dec. 4, 4-7 p.m.

The holiday event will feature face painting; art activities put on by the Palo Alto Art Center; festive drinks and treats; and live music from Jordan and JLS middle school bands, JLS's a cappella group, "Unaccompanied Minors," Keys School's chorus and Mike Annuzzi, a Bay Area award-winning singer and songwriter.

The tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m. Mayor Karen Holman and event sponsor Stanford Federal Credit Union will light the tree.
