Menlo College men make history on all-league soccer

The Menlo College men's soccer team has its first GSAC all-conference players in program history. The All-GSAC team presented by Under Armour, as voted on by the conferences head coaches, included junior standouts Eli Bunton and Alex Coates-McDowall after the duo helped the Oaks to a winning season in 2015.

Bunton, who transferred to Menlo from Manhattan College, appeared in 15 games while making 14 starts in his inaugural season for the Oaks. Bunton scored five goals (one game-winner) and tallied an assist. Bunton's five goals placed him second on the team and his 29 shots on the season rank first. Four of Bunton's five goals came in conference matches.

Coates-McDowall, a fellow Manhattan College transfer, established himself as one of the best keepers in the conference from Day 1. In 14 total starts, Coates-McDowall posted a 1.160 goals-against average for the season and 1.120 in GSAC play. His goals-against average ranked him fifth among conference keepers. He finished the season with 49 saves and six shutouts to claim a conference nod.

The 2015 GSAC Men's Soccer All-Conference Team consists of 24 players.
