Palo Alto celebrates Airport Day

Join the Palo Alto Airport Association on Sunday, Sept. 27, for Airport Day. The Palo Alto Airport open house includes aircraft displays and an airport tower tour. Plus, kids ages 8 to 17 can soar above the city during free airplane rides. Food and craft vendors will also be on-site to offer visitors tasty treats and aircraft-oriented merchandise. The event takes place at the Palo Alto Airport, which is located next to the Baylands Park at the end of Embarcadero Road. The fun begins at 10 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m. Parking and admission are free. For more information, visit paloaltoairport.aero.

Sounds like fun. Its not every day that you can tour a control tower or see Palo Alto from the air.
