Stanford grad Thomas sees NFL stint with the Niners come to an end

Stanford grad Chase Thomas was waived by the San Francisco 49ers on Monday.

Thomas (6-4, 255) spent the 2015 season between San Francisco's practice squad and active roster as a linebacker, where he registered two special teams tackles in five games played.

After 11 days he was waived again and picked up by the Atlanta Falcons in September of 2013.

The former All-American was signed by the 49ers in May of 2014.
