Menlo's Larson named Player of the Year in Cal Pac softball


Nicole Larson led a contingent of three Menlo College softball named to the Cal Pac All-Conference team.

Larson, a senior, was named the conference's Player of the Year honors after ranking among the top four in the Cal Pac in 12 categories, including owning the top average (.466), slugging percentage (.724) and on base percentage (.523).

She also set the single season school record in stolen bases (26) and broke the career record with 50.

Junior outfielder Mary Hall and sophomore catcher-outfielder McKenna Vega joined Larson on the all-conference team.

Hall joins Larson as the only Oaks player named to all-conference in three consecutive seasons.

Vega appeared in 13 of the teams 16 conference games hitting .438 with two home runs, four doubles, 10 RBI and five runs.
