Local boys named to California-Hawaii All-America team

Seven local boys have been selected by high school water polo coaches to the California-Hawaii All-America team. All seven players are now eligible for the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association All-America team, which will be announced in July.

Sacred Heart Prep is represented by three players -- Stanford-bound Nelson Perla (first team), Princeton-bound Michael Swart (second team) and sophomore Jackson Enright (honorable mention).

They helped the Gators win the West Catholic Athletic League regular-season and playoff titles this past fall along with the Central Coast Section Division II title.

Menlo School also has three on the team -- Andreas Katsis (fourth team), Nick Bisconti (fifth team) and Spencer Witte (fifth team). Bisconti is headed to Cal in the fall while Katsis and Witte will continue their careers at Johns Hopkins. They helped the Knights reach the CCS Division II title match.

Also receiving recognition was Menlo-Atherton senior John Knox. He was named honorable mention.
