June 3 election results

 

● Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District $300 million bond measure (2/3 approval required): (1) Santa Clara County results (2) San Mateo County results (Measure AA received 67.5 percent of the vote in Santa Clara County, according to unofficial results early June 4)

Santa Clara County sheriff (Laurie Smith re-elected with 59.88 percent of the vote)

Superior Court judge, Office No. 21 (Julianne Sylva won with 80.80 percent of the vote)

Tuesday's primary election drew only 20.6 percent of the county's

805,922 registered voters, according to preliminary data from the county Registrar of Voters.

How does measure AA work? Does it have to pass by 2/3 in each of San Mateo and Santa Clara counties? Or by 2/3 overall?
