Homecoming at Stanford makes for a busy weekend

It is Homecoming Week at Stanford, and thousands of alumni are expected to return to The Farm to revisit, recall and reminisce on one of the most important periods of their lives. The programs of Stanford Athletics are no different, and will welcome back scores of alumni who have proudly worn the cardinal and white in competition.

Numerous programs will host alumni gatherings and even alumni games this weekend. Competition, fun and fellowship as alumni and current student-athletes come together to share the stories and wisdom of their individual Stanford experiences.

For Stanford's athletic alumni, below is a schedule of events for participating programs.


Sunday, Oct. 20 -- Klein Field at Sunken Diamond

Old-Timers Game -- 12 p.m.

Alumni Game -- 1:30 p.m.

Postgame BBQ ($15 per person) following the Alumni Game


Stanford Football expects over 200 former players back on The Farm for this weekend's Homecoming activities

Saturday, Oct. 19

Pregame BBQ for Alumni and families (12:30 p.m. kickoff for Stanford-UCLA)


Saturday, Oct. 19 -- Varsity Turf

Alumni Game -- 9 a.m.


Friday, Oct. 18 -- Laird Q. Cagan Stadium

Alumni Reunion -- 6:30 p.m. (during 7 p.m. Stanford-Utah match)

On-field alumni recognition at halftime of Friday night's match


Friday, Oct. 18 -- Avery Aquatic Center

Alumni Meet -- 6 p.m.

Post-meet tailgate immediately following


Saturday, Oct. 19 -- Between Maples Pavilion (east end) and the Football Practice Field

Alumni Tailgate -- 10 a.m.

Sunday, Oct. 20 -- Burnham Pavilion

Volleyball Alumni Tournament -- 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (volleyball alumni only)


Saturday, Oct. 19 -- Avery Aquatic Center

Game vs. UCLA -- 10 a.m.

Alumni Game -- Immediately following Stanford-UCLA water polo game


Friday, Oct. 18 - Avery Aquatic Center

Alumni Game - 5:30 p.m. (alumni asked to arrive at 5 p.m.)
