A snapshot of the Palo Alto area will show a place teeming with tasty restaurants, handy service businesses and retailers whose wares are all the rage. The Weekly is eager to share which hotels, eateries and shops its readers have given the thumbs up to.
Which florist has the most followers? Which Thai restaurant is trending? Which chiropractor got the most clicks? Maybe it's safest if this year's best skin care business doesn't "go viral," but we'll find out which yogurt yelpers said "yes" to.
Some of these are first timers and others are hall of famers with three years on Best Of's timeline.
Ladies and gentlemen, start your search engines.

Clicking on restaurants goes to the food and drink site, not the restaurant site.

I am amazed to see that Flea Street Cafe received an award. We have gone there three times in fifteen years, most recently this spring, and have always received the most rude and brusque service. We have always assumed that if we waited a couple of years between visits, there might be staff who are friendlier, but that has not been the case so far. They REALLY get rude if one asks for dressing on the side, or no sauce, or no butter!

I would like to know how many votes you get and how many votes are between the winner and the business that comes in second place.
Are these overwhelming wins or are they close?
Somehow, I get the feeling that there are no surprises amongst the winners. Are you doing anything to prevent any type of cheating, or preventing unfair cheating from those with a connection to the business that they vote for?
Just thought I would ask anyway.

Il Fornaio was an absolute surprise, if not shock. The food is bland, the portions s all, the prices high, the service blah. Nuff said?

While my daughter has been home from college this summer, we've been to Fuki Sushi at least 3 times. The food and service in the sushi bar for lunch has been terrific. Last week we had dinner in the dining room. The food was great, but the service was so bad, it was a comedy and the time we waited for our food, unacceptable. We noted the chop stick wrappers mentioned they're also at FaceBook. We wondered if they are now spread too thin.
As we left, I looked for a hostess or the owner or manager to express my concern, but there was no one to be found.
