Exhibit: Zhaonan Duan

Pacific Art League member Zhaonan Duan, a native of China, is opening a new exhibit of his painted portraits of Chinese opera singers. The free show opens today, June 7, at the art league's Glass Gallery at 227 Forest Ave. in Palo Alto and runs through June 28. A reception is planned for today from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Gallery hours are weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 to 4. Go to updated.pacificartleague.org.

Music: Steel Horse

The city of Redwood City starts its busy summer season of free outdoor concerts today, June 7, at Courthouse Square, 2200 Broadway. The Bon Jovi cover band Steel Horse will play from 6 to 8 p.m. The concert season runs through Sept. 27. For a full schedule, go to redwoodcity.org.
