Menlo Park teen wounded in drive-by shooting

Boy, 17, taken to hospital following Thursday attack

A 17-year-old boy was shot Thursday evening (Dec. 22) in a drive-by shooting in Menlo Park, police said.

Police received calls of shots fired in the 1400 block of Plumas Avenue at about 6:25 p.m. At the scene police found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police.

The boy was taken to a hospital and treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening, police said. Police said the victim was shot by a passenger in a car heading west in the 1400 block of Plumas.

There were two males in the car, including the shooter. The car was described as a white compact vehicle, police said. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Menlo Park police at 650-330-6300 or an anonymous tip line at 650-330-6395.

Most likely just another gang member vs another gang member. If that's the life they choose, then you get what you get. What did they think these choices would lead to? Just happy no one innocent and law-abiding was injured as a result.
