• Music: 'Annual Messiah Sing Along/Play Along'

Singers and musicians can bring their voices to the annual sing- and play-along of Handel's "Messiah" at Stanford's Memorial Church. The event is at 8 p.m. tomorrow (Dec. 16), led by Stephen M. Sano. Admission is $10 general, $9 for seniors and $5 for students. Go to events.stanford.edu.

• Music: 'Christmas Story'

The Magnificant ensemble performs Schütz's "Weihnachtshistorie" at 8 p.m. tomorrow (Dec. 16). The concert is at the First United Methodist Church, 625 Hamilton Ave., Palo Alto. Guest performers are The Whole Noyse and the Sex Chordae Consort of Viols. Tickets are $28-$35. Go to sfems.org.
