VIDEO: Holiday lights shine at Lytton Plaza

Palo Alto officially kicked off the holiday season Friday (Dec. 9) with a tree-lighting and dedication ceremony at Lytton Plaza.

City officials, downtown merchants and festive residents gathered at the University Avenue at Emerson Street plaza at 5 p.m. The tree lighting took place at about 5:30 p.m. The Cantabile Youth Singers of Silicon Valley performed holiday songs during the event.
