• Music: 'Messiah Sing'

Schola Cantorum hosts its 45th annual "Messiah Sing" tonight (Dec. 12) at 7:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro St. An orchestra will play from the stage as singers contribute their voices from the audience. Admission is $20 general; $16 for seniors, students and children; and $12 for people in groups of 10 or more. Vocal scores will be available to borrow. Go to scholacantorum.org.

• Art: Esther Traugot=

Art installations by Esther Traugot, including natural objects such as trees and branches covered in crocheted threads, are on exhibit through Jan. 22 at the Community School of Music and Arts, 230 San Antonio Circle, Mountain View. The gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 to 3; admission is free. Go to arts4all.org.
