• Family: 'A Very Babymouse Christmas'

Youth author Jenni Holm will read from the 15th graphic novel in her "Babyhouse" series tonight (Dec. 7) at 6 p.m. at Kepler's Books, 1010 El Camino Real, Menlo Park. The latest book is "A Very Babymouse Christmas." Admission is free. Go to keplers.com.

• Dance: Smuin Ballet

The San Francisco-based Smuin Ballet brings its holiday program to the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts at 500 Castro St. this month starting at 8 p.m. tonight (Dec. 7) Local performances continue through Dec. 11, featuring new works inspired by the holiday theme. Admission is $52-$65. Go to smuinballet.org.
