• Music: Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra

Tomorrow (Dec. 6) at 8 p.m., the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra gives a concert at the First United Methodist Church at 625 Hamilton Ave. in Palo Alto. The program features Bach's Mass in B Minor, with four soloists: soprano Sherezade Panthaki, countertenor Daniel Taylor, tenor Thomas Cooley and baritone Nathaniel Watson. Tickets are $25-$100. Oxford University theoretical physics professor Frank Close will give a talk on his book "The Infinity Puzzle: Quantum Field Theory and the Hunt for an Orderly Universe" at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Dec. 6). The event is at Kepler's Books, 1010 El Camino Real, Menlo Park. Audience members must buy the event book or a $10 gift card to admit two; bookstore members get in free. Go to keplers.com.
