Youth clinics for lacrosse, football on Saturday

The U.S. women's national senior lacrosse team will be conducting a youth instructional clinic on Saturday for girls in grades 3-12 at Stanford University. Hosted by the Northern California chapter of US Lacrosse, the clinic will be offered to all current US Lacrosse members from 9-11:30 a.m. (grades 3-8) and 12:30-3 p.m. (grades 9-12).

These unique educational sessions will be led by the 2011-2012 U.S. women's national team, featuring members of the 2009 World Cup winning squad, and provide players the chance to learn from and connect with the sport's most talented and engaging leaders.

For those interested in football, Menlo football coaches Mark Newton and John Paye will host a non-contact clinic on Saturday for players from 6th through 8th grade. The clinic runs from 9-10 a.m. at the Menlo football field in Atherton. Players should bring their football cleats and can register at www.payesplace.com (click the link: Mark Newton & John Paye Non-Contact Football Clinic).
