• Film: Palo Alto Humane Society

The 1961 Disney film "Greyfriars Bobby," about a devoted terrier in 19th-century Scotland, will be shown tonight (Dec. 1) at the Aquarius Theatre, 430 Emerson St., Palo Alto. The holiday party, which includes the film screening, costumes and bagpipes, begins at 7 p.m. and benefits the Palo Alto Humane Society. Producer and composer Phil Giffin will emcee the event. • Concert: Electronic music

Stanford University's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics hosts a free concert of experimental electronic music at 8 p.m. tonight (Dec. 1) on the CCRMA Stage in The Knoll, 660 Lomita Drive. Scheduled performers include Negativwobblyland, Kurt Werner and Dohi Moon. Go to ccrma.stanford.edu.
