• Black Friday Pets

Starting today (Nov. 25) and continuing through Dec. 23, all black (and mainly black) dog and cat adoptions will be free (and all other colors will be adopted at half price) from the animal shelter Pets In Need, 871 Fifth Ave., Redwood City. For more information, visit Pets in Need.

• Double Feature

The classic films "Camille" (5:30 and 9:30 p.m.) and "Ninotchka" (7:30 p.m.) will be shown today (Nov. 25) at the Stanford Theatre, 221 University Ave., Palo Alto. Admission is $7 for both films. For more information, visit Stanford Theatre.
