Menlo's Sutter earns first team Cal Pac honors

Menlo College senior outside hitter Amanda Sutter earned first team all-Cal Pac women's volleyball honors on Wednesday.

She was joined by junior outside hitter Stephenie Monderine, who was named to the second team. Junior Camille Miller, senior Jessica Atthowe, junior Angie Larsen, junior Mika Mendoza, and senior Briana Moreno were named honorable mention. Miller was also named Cal Pac Newcomer of the Year.

"Making First Team-All Cal PAC is such a huge honor for me," Sutter said. "To be honest it wasn't something I thought about or expected during the season. I just knew I wanted to give this season everything I had, so I guess my hard work paid off. I am so honored and couldn't have done it without the support of my family, coaches, and teammates."

Sutter finished the season second on the team with 156 kills and third with 182 digs.

"This was a great way for Amanda to end her career," Menlo coach Daniel Rasay said. "She overcame some injuries and put together a superb senior season."

Monderine led the team in kills with 204 and ending up in second in digs with 190.
