Dance: Merce Cunningham Dance Company
Tonight (Nov. 1) at 8 p.m., the Merce Cunningham Dance Company is scheduled to give its last Bay Area performance, in Stanford University's Memorial Auditorium. The company will perform a restaged version of "Nearly 90," the last work choreographed by the company's late founder. A free talk will follow. "Paris to the Moon" author Adam Gopnik will give an author talk at 7 p.m. tonight (Nov. 1) on his new book, "The Table Comes First: Family, France and the Meaning of Food."
