Woman, 18, shot in East Palo Alto apartment

Police investigate Sunday night shooting on Newell Court

A woman was shot in an East Palo Alto apartment Sunday night (Oct. 23), but is expected to survive, police said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the apartment on Newell Court shortly before 10 p.m. When police arrived they found an 18-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

Police are currently investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the East Palo Alto Police Department at 650-409-6792 or emailing epa@tipnow.org.

And yet so many, many residents of EPA live without crime being a big problem for them. Sure, it means taking precautions, but moreover, it means not being a target because you live an honest life. Funny how the snide out of town commenters prefer to make off the cuff remarks instead of commenting on the real issues. How lucky for them that they get to be so off the cuff.
