• Art: 'Rodin and America'

A new free exhibition of works by American artists who were influenced by the French sculptor Auguste Rodin opens tomorrow (Oct. 5) at the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University. There are sculptures, drawings, paintings and other pieces by a variety of artists including Georgia O'Keeffe and John Storrs. The show runs through Jan. 1. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursdays until 8 pm. Call 650-723-4177 or go to museum.stanford.edu.

• Theater: 'Clementine in the Lower 9

TheatreWorks opens "Clementine in the Lower 9," a Dan Dietz play with an onstage jazz band, this week at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts at 500 Castro St. The show has 8 p.m. previews tomorrow (Oct. 5) through Oct. 7 and then opens Oct. 8, running through Oct. 30. Tickets are $19-$69. Go to theatreworks.org.
