■ 'Autumn at Filoli'

"Autumn at Filoli" will include live music, docent-led nature hikes, Happy Birds shows and fruit tasting of rare heirloom pears, apples and grapes Saturday (Oct. 1) from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Filoli Center, 86 Canada Road, Woodside. ■ 16th Annual Great Glass Pumpkin Patch

The 16th Annual Great Glass Pumpkin Patch, featuring 8,000 hand-blown glass pumpkins on display and for sale, will be open Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 1-2) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rinconada Park, 777 Embarcadero Road, Palo Alto (across from the Art Center). ■ Gamble Garden Community Day
