President Barack Obama is scheduled to hold a Town Hall meeting on the economy at Mountain View's LinkedIn today (Monday, Sept. 26) at 11 a.m. Palo Alto Online will be reporting from the event live via Twitter. Go to twitter.com/paloaltoweekly.
The president plans to answer questions about job creation and the economy from a live audience and from LinkedIn members across the country, according to the White House press secretary's office. The event takes place at the Computer History Museum.
"Following the Town Hall, White House Administration officials will continue to engage in the conversation with LinkedIn members about putting America back to work," according to a press release.
LinkedIn is a social-networking site for professionals to connect, look for jobs and make referrals.
To prep for Obama's visit, LinkedIn has created an online community centering on job creation and economic issues.
Members of the online professional network are invited to take part in the discussion via this group, where they can share questions and comments for the president.
