Menlo College seniors named top players

 

A pair of Menlo College seniors were named Cal Pac Conference Players of the Week it was learned Tuesday.

Matheus Barbosa, playing for the Oaks' men's soccer match, had three shots and one goal in Menlo's 1-1 tie with NAIA No. 19 Biola to be named Cal Pac Offensive Player of the Week.

Amanda Sutter recorded 12 kills in a pair of matcheslast week, a sweep of NCAA Division II Dominican and a four-set loss to Division III UC Santa Cruz, to earn her selection as Cal Pac Player of the Week.

Menlo's men's soccer team opens the conference schedule against visiting Simpson at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Oaks' women's volleyball team also starts conference play this weekend, hosting Simpson at 5 p.m. Friday.
