■ Opera: Preview lecture

Tomorrow (Sept. 20) at 7:30 p.m., U.C. Berkeley music professor Mary Ann Smart will give a preview lecture for the upcoming San Francisco Opera production of "Lucrezia Borgia." Hosted by the Opera Guild, the talk will be at First Presbyterian Church of Palo Alto at 1140 Cowper St. Admission is $10 general and $8 for guild members. Go to sfopera.com.
