■ Community: Moonlight Run

Participants will walk and run through the Palo Alto Baylands tomorrow (Sept. 9) as part of the 27th Annual Palo Alto Weekly Moonlight Walk & Run. Registration tables open at 6 p.m. at the City of Palo Alto Baylands Athletic Center at Embarcadero and Geng roads. Planned are: a 5K walk starting at 7 p.m., a 10K run at 8:15 p.m., and a 5K run at 8:45 p.m. The event beneficiary is the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund. For details, go to paloaltoonline.com.

■ Music: The St. Valentinez

The Bay Area band The St. Valentinez performs a free funk concert tomorrow (Sept. 9) at 8 p.m. upstairs at Red Rock Coffee, 201 Castro St., Mountain View. Instruments include horns, harmonica, guitars, drums and vocals. Call 650-967-4473 or go to redrockcoffee.org.
