A Palo Alto resident was arrested for attempted murder Tuesday evening after he allegedly stabbed his wife several times, police said.
Police said the stabbing occurred in south Palo Alto. Officers received a report of a woman bleeding in the street in the 300 block of East Charleston Avenue. Police provided first-aid assistance to the victim and Fire Department paramedics transported her to a local hospital, where she remains in stable condition, police said.
The stabbing occurred at the couple's home in the 3700 block of Redwood Circle, police said in a statement. The episode allegedly began with an argument that ultimately culminated in the husband stabbing his wife several times.
The husband, Daoming Qiu, 48, was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail in San Jose on one count of attempted murder, police said.
