'Back to School Swap' set for Wednesday

Kids can trade books, toys and clothes at library event

Palo Alto families can trade gently used school supplies, books, toys, clothing and more at a "Back to School Swap" event being held this Wednesday (Aug. 17) from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Children's Library, 1276 Harriet St., Palo Alto.

Only swapping -- no selling -- is allowed and interested families are asked to register online.

All registered swap participants will also be entered into a raffle to win a $25 gift card to a local department store, according to an announcement by children's librarian Cheryl Lee.

Leftover items will be donated to charity.
