■ Technology: Stanford Solar Car Project

Today (Aug. 11) at 5 p.m., the members of the Stanford Solar Car Project will have a free public unveiling of their 10th car, Xenith. They will speak and take questions at the event, which is in the Volkswagen Automotive Innovation Lab (Automotive Innovation Facility) at 473 Oak Road at Stanford University. The undergrads have been creating the car for two years, and plan to have it compete in the World Solar Challenge race in the Australian Outback. For more, go to events.stanford.edu.
