Meeting on Aug. 4 will address recent violence, Measure C funds

East Palo Alto Mayor Carlos Romero and police Chief Ronald Davis will host a special town hall meeting Thursday (Aug. 4) to address the violence that has shaken the community recently. East Palo Alto has seen four homicides in the past two weeks.

Topics at the meeting will include the city's priorities regarding public safety, policing strategies and a "Summer Violence Reduction Plan," as well as the usage of Measure C funds. Local residents will have opportunities to ask questions and voice their opinions regarding the proposed strategies.

The meeting will be held Thursday (Aug. 4) at 6 p.m. at East Palo Alto City Hall, 2415 University Ave., East Palo Alto.
