■ Art: Stanford Art Spaces

A new exhibition of Chinese paintings by Ichen Wu, nature-themed paintings by Jeung H. Kang and botanical paintings by Claudia Stevens opens today (July 29) at Stanford Art Spaces. In the free art show, works are displayed throughout the Paul G. Allen Building and other buildings on the Stanford University campus. The art can be viewed weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Go to cis.stanford.edu.

■ Family film: 'Charlotte's Web'

The 1972 G-rated film "Charlotte's Web" will be shown on the lawn outside the Cantor Arts Center at 8:30 p.m. tonight (July 29). Movie snacks and boxed dinners (until 8 p.m.) will be on sale at the family-friendly event. Go to museum.stanford.edu.
