■ Theater: 'Oedipus'
This is the opening weekend for Stanford Summer Theater's production of Seneca's "Oedipus," which is being performed at the Nitery Theater, Old Union, Stanford University. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., through Aug. 14. The script is a translation by the poet Ted Hughes, commissioned in 1968 for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Tickets are $20 general and $15 for seniors and students.
