■ Talk: 'Infinite Reality: The Dawn of the Virtual Revolution'

Jeremy Bailenson, associate professor of communication at Stanford University, gives a free talk tomorrow (July 28) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on virtual reality, avatars and other immersive digital technology. Part of the summer series of free outdoor talks, the event is on the lawn outside Stanford's Cantor Arts Center. Go to continuingstudies.stanford.edu.

■ Film: 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'

A free outdoor showing of the 1989 movie "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" is planned for tomorrow (July 28) at sunset -- around 8:30 p.m. -- on Courthouse Square in downtown Redwood City. The film series runs weekly through Oct. 6. Go to redwoodcity.org.
