■ Music: Jazz singer Judi Silvano

Tonight (July 25) at 7:30 p.m., jazz singer Judi Silvano will perform at the Stanford Jazz Festival with musicians including saxophonist Joe Lovano and pianist Taylor Eigsti. The concert is in Campbell Recital Hall, 541 Lasuen Mall, Stanford University. Tickets are $28 general and $18 for students. Call 650-725-ARTS or go to events.stanford.edu.

■ Film: 'The War Is Over'

A free screening of the 1966 French drama "The War Is Over (La guerre est finie)" is scheduled for tonight (July 25) at 7 p.m. in Stanford's Annenberg Auditorium. It's part of Stanford Summer Theatre's "Out of the Past" series, with a discussion following. The film was directed by Alain Resnais and stars Yves Montand. Go to stanford.edu.
