Squatters in home arrested in La Honda area

Three men found unlawfully occupying a home in unincorporated La Honda Friday morning (July 15) have been arrested, and a fourth remains at large, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said.

The men were reported Friday morning in a residence on Starwood Drive, according to a countywide alert. They ran from deputies and were the subject of a search in the area.

While three men were arrested, a fourth man remains at large. He is described as a heavyset Hispanic man, approximately 30 years of age with a round face and short hair, and wearing a gray and white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone who spots a man matching this description in the area is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 650-363-4911. People are advised to use caution, however, and should not approach or attempt to apprehend him.
