Palo Alto blogger on hand for Atlantis shuttle launch

Palo Alto Online has posted Todd Heapy's photos of Space Shuttle Atlantis lift off

Palo Alto resident Todd Heapy, a space-shuttle enthusiast for more than 30 years, has been blogging on Palo Alto Online's Town Square about the launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The NASA shuttle launched Friday (July 8) morning.

"On July 8th, if all goes as planned, Space Shuttle Atlantis will lift off on its final trek to the international space station, and I will be there to see it go. This is the very last launch of a Space Shuttle," Heapy wrote earlier this week.

Heapy's blogs can be found on Town Square.

Palo Alto Online posted Heapy's photos from the launch.
