■ Music: Peninsula Women's Chorus

Tonight (June 29) at 8 p.m., the Peninsula Women's Chorus will give a free concert in Stanford University's Memorial Church. The program includes "Psalm 23" by Franz Schubert, pieces of Shaker music, and European songs. Call 650-723-1762 or go to events.stanford.edu.

■ Music: The Hot Rods

As part of the City of Menlo Park's Summer Concert Series, The Hot Rods will play a free outdoor show tonight (June 29) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Fremont Park, University Drive and Santa Cruz Avenue. The band plays early rock 'n' roll music. Call 650-330-2200 or go to menlopark.org.

The 33rd Annual Palo Alto Weekly Short Story Contest is now accepting entries for Adult, Young Adult (15-17) and Teen (12-14) categories. Send us your short story (2,500 words or less) and entry form by March 29. First, Second and Third Place prizes awarded in each category.
