Stabbing suspect arrested in Menlo Park

68-year-old man hospitalized after confrontation on Willow Road

A sharp exchange of words turned physical in Menlo Park on Thursday (June 23). Police arrested city resident Alamoti Finau, 69, for allegedly stabbing another man in the arm, police said.

The two men got into a confrontation shortly after 4 p.m. in the 1200 block of Willow Road. Medics transported the 68-year-old victim to the hospital, where he is expected to recover, police said.

Sgt. Matthew Ortega said the two men were acquaintances, but investigators don't know yet what they were arguing about.

The attempted murder remains under investigation. Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call 650-330-6300.
