■ For kids: Inca Weaving Workshop

Ancient Andean weaving traditions that are still used today are the focus of a program for kids ages 5-12, presented by the Museum of Craft and Folk Art today (June 21) at 3:30 p.m. at Woodside Library, 3140 Woodside Road, Woodside. Participants will weave their own armbands with multicolored yarn or create a woven paper pouch decorated with weaving motifs. Sign-up required. For more information, visit Woodside Library.

The 33rd Annual Palo Alto Weekly Short Story Contest is now accepting entries for Adult, Young Adult (15-17) and Teen (12-14) categories. Send us your short story (2,500 words or less) and entry form by March 29. First, Second and Third Place prizes awarded in each category.
