Menlo women's teams announce signings

 

The Menlo College women's basketball team announced their signees for next season on Monday. The Lady Oaks signed six-foot forward Tori Conley of Vancouver, WA., Laurel Donnenwirth of El Camino High in Sacramento, Jolise Limcaco of St. Francis High in Sacamento, and College of the Sequoias transfer Carly Tristao.

Donnenwirth was the MVP of the Capital League, a second team All-State pick, and an All-Metro selection. Limcaco was named to the All-Delta River League first team and was a second team All-Metro.

Women's volleyball

Bayley Blackney, Courtney Calicdan, Emma Oehler and Angie Larsen signed to attend Menlo, it was announced recently.

The 6-foot-1 Blackney was a four-year varsity team captain at Ponderosa High in Napa and team MVP in 2008.

Calicdan is a product of Moanalua High in Honolulu, where she was the Oahu Interscholastic Association East Division I Player of the Year.

Oehler hails from Placer High in Auburn via Gowanda High in New York. She was a two-time league MVP and two-time All-Western New York selection. At Placer, she was an All-League honorable mention.

Larsen, a setter, transfers to Menlo from from Foothill College. She attended Timpanogos High in Orem, Utah.

Women's soccer

Menlo added eight new players, including JC transfers Erin Bedell of Foothill and West Valley's Alison Hammond.

Others include Steffany Dudley of Skyline High in Sandy, Utah, Tracy High's Victoria Piazza, Elanna Arceo of Vintage High in Napa, West Covina's Ariella Peraza, Los Angeles' Elisabeth Chubb and Live Oak's Kayla Cisneroz.
