In Game 2, Gunn grad Greg Matson also picked up his second victory with five innings of work. Matson gave up one earned run while striking out two. Graham Rodriguez pitched the sixth and final inning while allowing no runs or hits.

Anthony Bona was on base four times for the Oaks, reaching twice by being hit by a pitch, walking once, and getting a two-run double. Bona also scored three times. Bryan Beres had a homerun and double to go along with a sacrifice fly to knock in four runs. Paly grad Evan Warner, Stienstra, Beres, and Borg all had two hits for the Oaks.

The Oaks will host the El Cerrito A's on Sunday at Baylands starting at 11:30 a.m.

The Menlo Park Legends (3-2) spent the weekend in Santa Maria and took one of three games from the Santa Maria Packers. After dropping the opening games 10-5 and 3-2, the Legends salvaged their trip with an 8-6 win on Sunday.

Menlo Park played shorthanded as only 14 players were able to make the trip, including only four pitchers.
