■ Film: 'World in Solidarity'

Tomorrow (May 25) at 7 p.m., "World in Solidarity," a documentary film about the Polish Solidarity movement, will be screened at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center, 555 Middlefield Road, Atherton. A discussion about the current Egyptian democracy movement with the film's director, Jolanta Kessler Chojecka, and San Francisco State University professor Dr. Dina Ibrahim, will follow. ■ Author: Adam Hochschild

Author Adam Hochschild gives a talk about his World War I book "To End All Wars: A Story of Loyalty and Rebellion" tomorrow (May 25) at 7 p.m. The event is at Kepler's Books, 1010 El Camino Real, Menlo Park.
