■ Music: Scandivas

The Swedish nyckelharpas, the Celtic harp, the Swedish zither and other instruments will be showcased in a free performance by the Scandivas trio tomorrow (May 18) at 12:30 p.m. in the Stanford Hospital atrium. The performance is part of the hospital's music program, and the concert is open to the public. Musicians Enid Bennion, Barbary Grant and Verlene Schermer will play songs from the past and present. ■ Author: Victoria Zackheim

Tomorrow (May 18) at 7 p.m., Victoria Zackheim gives an author talk on "He Said What?: Women Write About Moments When Everything Changed," the essay collection she edited. The event is at Kepler's Books, 1010 El Camino Real, Menlo Park. Audience members must buy the book or a $10 gift card to admit two people to the talk. (Kepler's members get in free.)
