■ Film: 'Father of the Bride'

As part of its Elizabeth Taylor film festival, a screening of the 1950 family comedy "Father of the Bride" will be shown today (April 11) at 7:30 p.m. at the Stanford Theatre, 221 University Ave., Palo Alto. Admission is $7 and also includes a screening of "Father's Little Dividend" at 5:55 p.m. or 9:15 p.m. For more information, visit Stanford Theatre.

■ For kids: An animal story time

Storyteller Kirk Waller will tell stories about animals to kids ages 4 and up today (April 11) from 4 to 4:45 p.m. at the Atherton Library, 2 Dinkelspiel Station Lane, Atherton. For more information, visit San Mateo County Libraries.
