'James Franco: The Movie'

The world-premiere screening of "James Franco: The Movie," written and directed by James Franco, starring James Franco (based on the award-winning book by James Franco) will be held today (April 1) at 8 p.m. at the Aquarius Theatre, 430 Emerson St., Palo Alto. 'Beats and Beets'

Local hip-hop artist Beet E. Fresh will host a vegetable-canning class and CD-release party at Gamble Garden to celebrate his new album, "Don't Call Me Chard," today (April 1) at 4 p.m. at 1431 Waverley St., Palo Alto.
