■ 'Blood Donors & Recipients: Where Goodness Meets Gratitude'

Lauren Ward Larsen, the president of the Foundation for America's Blood Centers, will discuss her memoir "Zuzu's Petals: A True Story of Second Chances," which chronicles her experience with near-fatal preeclampsia and her life-saving blood donation, today (March 31) at 7 p.m. at Hillview Center, 3373 Hillview Ave., Palo Alto.
